How Businesses Can Help
Encourage recycling in your place of business. It's easy and fairly inexpensive to set up separate
receptacles for paper, plastic and aluminum cans. Save typing paper
that you no longer need - use the blank side when printing out unofficial
documents. Adding machine paper can go into the newspaper bins!
Empty ink cartridges you don't want to refill are
recyclable. Several churches and organizations as well as our
own Public Work Department take them. You can drop them off
at Keep Sherwood Beautiful's office - they are sent in and KSB
receives money for them as well as unneeded mobile phones -
drop them off at 2303 East Lee Street.
How Individuals and Families In Sherwood Can Help
Every day, we need you to do your part to not litter and to report any litter you see.
Call
1-866-811-1222 to report litter within Arkansas.
This is a free service. You need
to report the license plate #, what was tossed out which window and
where. No tickets are issued - the person owning the car
receives a letter stating the event and reminding them what litter
does to our environment. They also receive a nice litter bag
for their car!
Our Sherwood Animal
Shelter, Sherwood Rotary Club and the Lions Club collect cans. Help
them out!
You also can set an example by recycling in your household. Make it a point to separate out
plastic, glass and paper from your regular garbage and take it to a recycling drop-off point.
